Portland Fire & Rescue now has a 30kW microgrid using Silfab Solar SLG-M 360 modules, 2 Yasakawa Solectria PVI 14TL solar inverters, a 60kW Energport battery and CE+T Energy Solutions Stabiliti multiport converter, controlled by an Argeto management system. The microgrid was designed and installed by Latitude45 and EC Electric so the fire station can be used as an emergency shelter and operate autonomously during power outages. The system replaces a diesel powered generator.
This novel energy management solution is an example of how we can work together to create modular, simple-to-deploy clean energy microgrids.”
