Alberta Solar One (ABS1) is a 13.7MW project in Burdett, Alberta and the first utility scale demonstration of the SimbaX cell SiPV performance enhancing technology. The project utilizes approximately 36,500 SimbaX enhanced bifacial panels manufactured by Silfab Solar.
The ABS1 will supply the equivalent energy needs of about 3,000 homes, offsetting about 12,000 tonnes of carbon annually.
