Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to all production equipment as required
- Complete electrical and mechanical projects based on direction given from Maintenance Supervisor as required by government regulation

- Process Engineer

- Support the running of production and ensure that process integrity for machines is in place.
- Collecting and evaluating operating and quality data to conduct equipment/recipe adjustment to ensure process optimization.

- Traceability and Standards Engineer

Summary of Functions:
Traceability and Standards Engineer is responsible for ensuring Silfab Solar’s sustained compliance to all applicable company standards and traceability requirements, such as ISO standards, traceability requirements, including supply chain, vendors, manufacturing, OEM suppliers and customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to ensure all ISO certification project tasks are completed according to project plan
- Manage traceability of raw materials and components
- Manage traceability of manufacturing and OEM suppliers
- Manage the traceability requirements defined by customers
- Oversee compliance and standards development, from documentation to final product
- Develops, updates and maintains documents for ISO9000 standards and in accordance with industry requirements such as Quality Manual, Quality Management Procedures, Work Instructions and Forms
- Works with Continuous Improvement and Quality to maintain ISO-compliant documentation throughout the change implementation of world-class continuous improvement processes
- Constantly looks for alternate, compliant ways to remove bureaucratic waste from Silfab Solar’s process, procedures, work instructions, forms and workflows introduced by over-designed compliance
- Works with IT, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations to identify, develop and integrate into existing ISO Quality Systems strict traceability and tracking systems to meet domestic and international industry, commerce and customer traceability requirements
- Tracks and ensures all company products and procedures meet standards and traceability requirements and identifies problems to resolve issues
- Maintain ISO internal and external audit system by coordinating/maintain audit schedule, performing audits, providing/organizing audit documentation
- Coordinate the Management Review to include scheduling with departments, consolidating departmental metric inputs, recording meeting minutes and following up on action items
- Completes external audit request from customers
- Files/Reviews all scanned documents in assigned repository
- Actively participates in Standards and Traceability conferences and councils to stay current on compliance trends and information and quickly translates learnings to Silfab Solar’s operational and business processes.
- Actively participates in Silfab Solar’s internal Quality, Standards and Traceability forums, and collaborates cross-functionally with colleagues and counterparts to maintain standard practices and documentation across facilities.
Education and Experience:
Required Qualifications

- Adhere to work orders, preventive/predictive maintenance systems by filling in required forms; and
- Organize workplace to comply with housekeeping requirements.
Education and Experience:
- In order to be successful in this role, you must have a valid Provincial Industrial Electrician’s license (preferably inter-provincial), knowledge of applicable electrical codes and 3-5 years of experience employed as an Industrial Electrician, ideally within a production environment.
- Able to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics and ladder/function block logic, you have working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff TwinCat, etc.) and electric circuitry consisting of contractors, relays, main voltage/control voltage, limit switches and proximity sensors, etc.
- Hands-on experience applying hydra-electric, electro-pneumatic and electro-mechanical theories is a must as is the ability to work well with minimal supervision and take initiative.
- A proven team player and strong communicator with excellent organizational skills, you will be a great fit for this role if you are able to:

- Understand and use programming devices for troubleshooting and modifying programs;
- Perform basic wiring work, conduit bending, controls cabinet wiring and general installations;
- Identify causes of problems while developing methods of correction;
- Lift up to 40lbs
- Work overtime and weekends as required; and
- Work shift work as required.
Job tasks are as outlined but not limited to:
- Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to all production equipment as required
- Work side by side with experienced technician during equipment repair and learn smart/safe work practices
- Complete small electrical and mechanical projects based on direction given from Supervisor as required by provincial regulation
- Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures and regulations at all times
- Initiate and complete all other jobs, projects and special assignments as directed by Maintenance Supervisor
- Ensure compliance of all Company policies
- Ensure personal compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act is maintained at all times and recommends measures to improve health and safety
- Ability to work within a team environment and interact with all areas of production
